Pretty Spring Things

Conley and I took some shopping trips this week with very specific lists in mind and of course ended up coming home with a few extras. First stop was one of my favorites, Paper Source, in search of a few greeting cards.  Thirty minutes later we walked out with six cards and some cute macaron tea towels for the kitchen, love the colors! We also paid a visit to Anthropologie and J. Crew to look for some gifts and of course I can never leave those two places without a few extras and a mile-long wish list. I am loving all the color - Spring is definitely here!

Colorblocked Basket Chair from Anthropologie - another possible option for the back patio
Loved these little trinket dishes at Anthropologie - got one as a gift and one for myself!

Can never have enough hair ties - love the Multitude Hair Ties from Anthro

I have way too many decorative bobby pins but the Bonhomie Bobby Set from Anthro is on my list

I can't get enough blue and white stripe shirts for Spring - love this one from Anthro that has a little floral twist
Love jewelry from J Crew - this Color Collage Statement Necklace is on my list

I would wear the Ratti Electric Kiwi Tank with some white pants

Obviously not an official J. Crew pic - bought these cute seersucker shorts today, but didn't see them on the website
Love my Macaron Tea Towels from Paper Source

Another unofficial J. Crew pic - got this cute Liberty Prints Zip Pouch on sale!
Have had my eye on these for awhile - J. Crew Tortoise Capri Sandals

My Nightly Reading Selections

I've always been a big reader. Back in the day The Nancy Drew Files and The Babysitters Club filled my shelves and I would spend hours pacing through the house reading. Lately my interests have changed - now baby and parenting books seem to be my number one choice, but I also love travel, European history, eco-friendly lifestyle and I guess what you could call "self-improvement." I also love a good fiction novel, but sadly there are none in sight at the moment. I slightly exaggerated my collection for the photo, but these are truly all in my queue and I am in the middle of reading about half of them. Italy is taking center stage for now though with our trip just a little over 2 weeks away, yikes! I've got a general plan for our time there, but still a lot of transportation details to plan and more specifics on day-by-day sightseeing and restaurants. A new batch of books arrived today which is always pretty exciting for me. I'm going to start browsing through the Italian cities, but the rest will have to wait until we return. So many books, so little time!

The new recruits - added them to the pile!
